So you have seen all the horrible things that will go wrong with your valued timepieces. Is there nothing that can be done? Luckily, yes, there are things that can be done! Don't forget, a Swatch watch was made not to be repaired or overhauled. I Swatch case is hermetically closed to withstand the force of twenty meters of water. You are not supposed to be able to open it without ruining it. Still, with good techniques there is a whole lot we can do:
1. Replace straps.
Straps can always be replaced. We always use original Swatch straps. Standard straps are easiest to get and the least expensive. If you need rare straps, for instance Helmut Newton's Fingernails, Kiki Picasso or 1983 seven holes straps, they tend to get more expensive. This can also increase repair time.
2. Straighten strap attachments points.
If pieces have broken off the case where the straps attach this can be straightened by us. If the straps do not let themselves be fastened this cannot be repaired.
3. Replace battery.
We can replace the battery for you. We even have the gold battery at some extra expense.
4. Repair battery cover.
If the battery cover does not want to be attached to it's place usually we can do something to make it go again. But we need some plastic to still be there!
5. Remove battery corrosion.
We can get the corroded battery out and clean the contacts so that it will run again. This is something best not tried yourself because it is easy to break the contacts and this is something that cannot be repaired.
6. Replace case and mechanical parts.
This is our most valued product! We can get the dial and hands out of your old Swatch and put them into a new case and close it with a fresh crystal! Your loved Swatch will be all new again! You never thought this would be possible. Well, until now it wasn't. By the way, there is no way to unyellow a case.
7. Replace crystal.
We can replace your crystal by a fresh one but usually it's a good idea to polish it or also replace the rest.
8. Polish crystal.
We can sand and polish the crystal until it looks absolutely new! You will be able to see the time again. With an ultrasonic bath we can even remove a lot of the dust around the crystal and clean the watch well.
9. Polish and sandblast case.
Like the crystal we can polish the case as well. This will make it shiny. If it originally was dull we can get this effect again by sandblasting it.
10. Replace hands.
If we replace the crystal and/or the case we can also do the hands for you. It's not always possible to get the exact same hands!
